As a leading European manufacturer of engineering steel, we at Ovako see a well-functioning IT organization as a central part of the business. Ovako wants to create a sustainable IT organization for the future by strengthening the team with additional expertise.
This is to be able to use IT as the enabler it is and for IT to be able to take a business development role.
Jenny Vannestål, Head of IT at Ovako explains a little more about the plan.
-We have a need to strengthen our teams with additional skills and what we are looking for now is an Integration Specialist, Application Manager and .NET Developer. Our future colleagues are an important reinforcement and will add a lot to our already competent teams. As our IT strategy says, our focus is to build a core team in IT where these roles are some of our designated key competencies. We will also continue to strengthen our delivery, if necessary, through close cooperation with selected suppliers.

Today we are about 40 colleagues at Ovako IT, spread out in different locations in Sweden and for the past two years at our new office in Örebro. We also work closely with our colleagues at IT in Finland. Together we support and further develop systems and infrastructure for Ovako globally.
With us it is fast-paced, friendly and good team spirit. We see a great advantage in working in teams and like it!
