Ovako is launching its own podcast, Stålverket, offering not only fascinating insights into the steel industry but also aiming to inspire future engineers and build pride among its employees. With a wide range of topics, from sustainable technology to daily life at a modern steel plant, Stålverket offers something for everyone curious about this forward-looking industry.
A Glimpse into the Steel Industry – and Career Opportunities
Stålverket is more than just a podcast – it’s a platform to showcase what it’s like to work at Ovako and what makes the steel industry so captivating. In each episode, listeners are taken behind the scenes to hear stories from engineers who have chosen to move from big cities to smaller towns to work closer to nature and their profession.
Topics like “9 Hot Jobs in Steel Right Now” and "Moving to Hofors – what?" give a taste of what's to come, combining personal interviews, reports from the steel plants, and facts about steel, making each episode both inspiring and educational.
Focus on Sustainability
A recurring theme in Stålverket is sustainability. Ovako is at the forefront of reducing carbon emissions, including using hydrogen in production. The podcast also highlights exciting projects where steel contributes to a more sustainable future, showcasing steel as a key component in some of our most commonly used products.
