What attracted you to Ovako?

It was my studies that initially attracted me to Ovako. The studies included three courses called LIA (Learning in the Workplace) over a two-year study period. LIA1 and LIA2 in 2019 and LIA3 (Thesis) in 2020.

During the LIA period, I learned more about Ovako. It was a friendly and supportive work culture that helped me develop in my studies. Ovako is an excellent work environment to grow in because Ovako invests in the latest and most advanced technology to improve production with great consideration for the environment.

I feel proud to work for a global leader in sustainable steel!

Ammar Arafeh, Head of Customer Support

What does a typical workday look like for you?

A typical workday usually starts by reporting recent deliveries to our customers and the production in the rolling mills and finishing. I participate in various meetings with different departments and work together with customer support, technical customer service, marketing, and sales offices, as well as follow up on the status of our customer orders, deliveries, complaints, credits, etc.

What is the most fun part of your job?

Working in a collaborative environment where team members support each other, share ideas, and work together towards common goals. As a member of the customer support team, our customers are the focus.

What do you do when you're not working at Ovako?

I spend most of my time with my family, supporting and caring for them, having quality time through joint activities, meals, and other bonding moments.
