What attracted you to Ovako?

During my studies at Bergsskolan in Filipstad, I had the opportunity to intern at Ovako in Hofors, where I got a very positive impression of the company. Everyone I met was incredibly friendly, and my supervisor, Patrik Undvall, really sparked my interest in metallurgy. When I graduated in the spring and Ovako Smedjebacken offered me the position of metallurgist, I simply couldn’t say no!

What does a typical workday look like for you?

There is no typical workday. Each day comes with its challenges, and here you have the opportunity to learn new things as long as you show drive and a desire to learn. One day I might be working on a large project, and the next, I might be involved in a request for new steel grades. The only routine so far is having my morning coffee when I arrive at work.

What is the most fun part of your job?

That every day I get the chance to learn something new. I also have many great and friendly colleagues who genuinely want you to enjoy your job.

What do you do when you're not working at Ovako?

I play bandy during the winter for Köpings IS, and during summer, I have taken up golf again. I also have plans to get my hunting license.
